PICTORIAL FOCUS OF MCC MANAGING DIRECTOR’S VISIT IN MALAWI

Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Managing Director for Africa Mr. Jason Small was in the country for a four day visit to appreciate some of the on-going major works under the $350.7 million power sector revitalization grant to Malawi courtesy of the people of America.

During his visit, Mr. Small met the Minister of Natural Resources, Energy and Mining Bright Msaka, MCA-Malawi Directors, and also visited some Project Affected Persons (PAPs), whom MCA-Malawi has constructed houses at Tsabango in Lilongwe.

In addition, Mr. Small also appreciated work in progress of the rehabilitation and modernization of the 132/66 kV Bunda Substation and the construction of the new Dzenza Substation in Area 25 in Lilongwe before proceeding to the Sothern Region of Malawi where he toured the construction of the 400/132 kV Phombeya electricity substation in Balaka and also the modernization of Nkula A Hydro Power Plant.
